Not sure about Kuwait Maternity Hospital but I guess private hospitals would follow the same procedure as public. When my wife was pregnant with twins, she suffered a mild bout of food poisoning at around 23 weeks. We spent the night in hospital under supervision due to loss of fluids and her doctor decided to give her steroid shots. I think they give them to strengthen the baby's lungs in case it's born premature. It's better to speak to your doctor for advice.
