This is not so much about movie theater etiquette, it's just weird overall. Seen this a couple of times recently, both in a mostly empty and also a full cinema: about 5 minutes before the movie ends, people just got up and started leaving, ignoring the ending. What's up with that? Why don't you sit your ass for 5 more minutes to watch, you know, the conclusion to a story you've been watching for the last hour and a half? No fucks given.
- People casually walk in a movie theater after an hour has passed.
- The pop corn - soft drink - edamame massacre they leave behind as they casually exit.
- Watching YouTube clips on phone while movie s playing on huge screen in front of them.
