McDonalds now charges KD0.750 for delivery. Didn't the government make a big deal about this and pass a law that says you can't charge more than 0.250 in-area and 0.500 out-of-area?

They seem to be very proud of that fact advertising all over the McDelivery page that they charge KD0.750.  Does anyone respect the laws of this country?

If you are really irritated by that, you can file a complaint with Consumer Protection Department. Call 135.

Recently a man filed a suit over a restaurant charging 1 KD for delivery. After and extensive and long battle where both parties refused to back down, the man won and was given 500 fils.

Yeah i was wondering the same and looking for a place to complain about this ! Apparently Zitaat is handling the delivery exclusively for Mc D and charges 0.750 KD for delivery.  I'd rather not get it delivered then .

just stop ordering they will learn when the rates drop
and to answer your question they are doing what others are doing (carriage and talabat go)
they use a third party to deliver the food im not a lawyer so i dont know if its legal to do so or if its a loop hole or not but its kinda obvious with them announcing zittat or whatever their name is to deliver their food. to be honest its their loss if people unite and stop ordering via online/phone

Most people I know have stopped ordering.  Since they started doing this no one now orders McDonalds for breakfast at my office.

i think its a loophole using a third party delivery service .
when they started delivery with 750 fils fee i never ordered from them , after a while they decreased to 250 fils and started adding freebies in the order like 6 mc Nuggets and chicken burgers to your order , so the delivery is virtually in the minus price so i always ordered instead of going to them  .
once they got back to 750 fils i deleted the app
