Am i able to depart Kuwait with my second British passport if my first British passport (entry passport and thus associated with my work visa) is awaiting my residency stamp?

Good morning,

I hope you are able to assist with my question. I am a British Citizen currently in Kuwait on a work visa with my oil company. Due to often working in countries where my passport is frequently being processed for visas, i was awarded two British passports.

The passport that i entered Kuwait with, and thus the one that is associated with my work visa, is currently awaiting my residency stamp from the Kuwait authorities. This is something my oil company is handling on my behalf.

My question is, am i able to depart Kuwait on my second passport? For family reasons i need to travel home but understand that the passport i entered Kuwait with is with the authority that is processing my residency stamp.

If i have my second valid British passport, a copy of my British passport i entered Kuwait with and also a copy of my work visa, will i be able to depart through customs ok at the airport?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

No, you have to leave using the same passport that you entered the country with.
