Toyota service garage other than dealership?

asked Sep 4 in Automotive by anonymous
My FJ Cruiser needs a major service and I am looking for a garage that is able to do a major service other than the dealership as they quoted me a ridiculous price I would need to pay before they would even touch the car since I had it serviced at a place other than the dealership before.

Thanks in advance!

They said since it was serviced at an outside garage before, they will not take any responsibility incase if something happens and the car breaks down so they quote me KD2000 (1200 for a long list of parts they would need to replace and 800 for labor) and then they will service it. Its absurd!

You mean what parts they are saying needs to be replaced? Its a long list but here's a few they wrote on the papers:
-Engine flush and clean oil strainer KD120
-Replace front shockabsorber and support KD80
-Replace front lower arm assy. KD80
-Clean injector and throttle body KD120
-Replace rear shockabsorber KD64

The list is long but those were a few i was told had to be done before they would service it.
They add up quick!
