Missed Calls from Somalia

asked Mar 4, 2018 in Technology by Kuwait (5,050 points)
Anyone else getting 2-3 missed calls daily from a +252 number? Sometimes late at night? I'm on Ooredoo... wondering if there's a way to stop this :|

Zain used to have the same issue about a year ago, but since they are an actual real telecom company they did something about it.  Good luck with ooooooredooooo

I'm an Ooredoo customer and I've been receiving these missed calls from Somalia and Syria. Apparently it's a phone scam; if you call back, you will most likely be put on hold and charged premium call rate, draining your phone balance. So avoid answering them. I don't know if Ooredoo can do anything to stop them, I hope they can. Not surprisingly this scam is happening the world over. Take a look:
